Date of Craft
Each VOSKET journal is marked with its Date of Craft.
Pressed into the leather, the date records when the journal was made and when the system began.
It is a small detail, but an important one.
The journal is designed to stay in use over time. The leather will soften. The surface will mark. Refills will be filled, removed, and replaced as new ideas, notes, sketches, and projects begin.
The Date of Craft gives the object a starting point.
Not as decoration.
As a record.
A way to mark the beginning of something intended to continue.
Over time, the date becomes part of the journal’s history. It sits alongside the marks, movement, pressure, and handling that come through use.
A reminder that the object was made at a specific moment, then carried forward through years of thinking.
